icedtea-netx-common software package provides NetX - implementation of the Java Network Launching Protocol (JNLP), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install icedtea-netx-common
icedtea-netx-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the icedtea-netx-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep icedtea-netx-common *
You will get with icedtea-netx-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
